Mytouch3G (HTC Magic) , (Dopod) It’s still got the chin, but no keyboard. Shellable, skinnable, endorsed by Whoopi.

HTC Hero
HTC Hero (World) Slim and sexy, this is the first ‘droid with a custom UI #HTCSense The CDMA version was Sprint’s first Android device.

HTC Tattoo
HTC Tattoo Yet another all-touch device with HTC Sense bound for Europe. Mysteriously ditched the “chin” but went with custom shells.

HTC Droid Eris
HTC Droid Eris (HTC Desire) Launch partner of Verizon Droid, standard 528MHz CPU, very similar to the Hero.


HTC Nexus One Sold directly through Google, all-touch, 1GHz Snapdragon, cross-carrier, world phone. Very controversial and reputed to have some problems, but otherwise a totally compelling device.


HTC EVO 4G The first 4G WiMAX phone! This device stole the show at CTIA 2010. 8 megapixel camera, the ability to act as an 8-device WiMAX hotspot, Android 2.1…it looks a lot like the HD2, but this is definitely a game changer.


HTC Desire This is the Non-Google Nexus One, the Desire has the same 3.7″ AMOLED screen and 1GHz Snapdragon processor but packed with Sense and a new design from HTC’s wholly-owned One&co design firm.


HTC Legend The sequel to the Hero, with an optical trackball and single-piece, milled aluminum body. The Legend is keeping the “Kicktail” alive and doing so with a super lightweight and solid device.


HTC Incredible 1GHz Snapdragon, 3.7″ AMOLED touchscreen, optical trackball, 8 megapixel dual flash camera. This is yet another in HTC’s market-leading Android devices.


T-Mobile MyTouch 3G SLIDE Not surprising that this phone lacks prominent HTC branding. It’s a bit on the weak side, falling between the launch of the EVO and the Incredible. Still, it has Android 2.1, a 5 megapixel camera, and the multi-function “Genius button” which is kind of similar to Sony Ericsson’s Timewarp button.

Motorola Cliq/Dext the first Android phone from Moto, which unveiled MotoBLUR, the second big UI premiered for Android. Thanks to the timing of the big data loss of 2009, this became a replacement for many Sidekicks.

Motorola Droid
Motorola Droid aka “Sholes,” “Tao,” and “Touchstone.” QWERTY slider as thin as an iPhone. VZW’s first Android and first Android 2.0 (eclair) device. A killer.

Motorola Backflip
Motorola Backflip, aka “Enzo,” a weird form factor with keyboard on back of chassis and trackpad behind the screen, also rocks the MotoBLUR interface.


Motorola MotoROI, First released in China and South Korea, this powerful device features 720p video capture with HDMI output and has a fully-featured 8 Megapixel camera. Rumors say it’ll be released in the U.S. also.


Motorola Devour Known as Calgary in leaked documents for a very long time, this is a smaller, more affordable version of the Droid that Motorola advertised during the Super Bowl with a semi-nude Megan Fox. Pretty smart move, if you ask me.


Motorola Cliq XT launched with T-Mobile and is pretty much the Cliq just without a keyboard. Special features include: multi-touch, an FM radio, and Flash Lite.


Motorola i1 HTC launched the first WiMAX Android phone, Motorola launched the first iDen Android Device (which also happens to be the first Mil-spec ruggedized Android phone, too.) Android 1.5, 3.1″ screen, 3 megapixel camera.


Motorola Droid X Moto’s first 1GHz Android handset on Verizon. Whopping 4.3″ screen, Android 2.1 on launch (with a quick 2.2 upgrade shortly thereafter) 8 Megapixel camera, 720p Video capture. Wow.


Huawei U8220 aka T-mobile Pulse, the first prepaid all-touch Android device “perfect entry level smartphone”


Huawei U8230 3.2 megapixel camera on the back, VGA cam on the front, update to the T-Mobile Pulse.


LG inTouch MAX (GW620) aka “Etna” this QWERTY slider was launched in EU, turned up unlocked in France €450, and is now available in the UK on Virgin and T-Mobile.


LG GT540, don’t know the name of this one, but is all-touch, runs 2.0, and comes in various colours. Launched at CES, coming to EU/Asia


Acer A1 or Acer Liquid, like Motorola, Acer said it’s focusing on Android now. Launched UK 10/14, runs Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.


Dell mini 3i, one of China Mobile’s first Ophones, and Dell’s first Android phone on AT&T’s


Lenovo O1, another TD-SCDMA Ophone for China. Pretty, but not likely to come to the U.S.


Samsung Galaxy, @I7500, typical Samsung quality display, all-touch AMOLED with light sensor, not a “Google phone,” available in Germany, Austria, and Poland.

Samsung Moment, thought to be the #InstinctQ, this 800Mhz QWERTY slider came to Sprint and is being test marketed as an ATSC TV.


Samsung Galaxy Spica @I5700, 800MHz CPU, 3.2-inch HVGA, a 3mpix cam, 180MB internal memory. Actually quite dull. Announced on Nov 16.

Samsung SHW-M100S Android 2.1-powered handset with built-in T-DMB mobile TV receiver. Samsung made this one especially for South Korea.

Samsung Halo (i8520) 3.7″ Super AMOLED display, 8 megapixel autofocus camera with flash (VGA on the front), 720p / 30fps video encoding / decoding, and a DLP pico projector! Announced at Mobile World Congress 2010, this device is the first Android Handset with an integrated projector.


Samsung Galaxy S Launching Samsung’s “S Life” campaign, this 4.0″ Super AMOLED, 1GHz Snapdragon device was launched the same day as HTC’s EVO 4G. This one has built-in tethering, 720p video capture, and, in short, lots to love.


Samsung Captivate this “Galaxy S phone” runs the 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor, has a 4″ super AMOLED screen and runs Android 2.1. Announced June 16, 2010 on AT&T.

Samsung Galaxy Apollo (i5801) 3.2″ touchscreen, 3-megapixel camera w/ autofocus and 4X digital zoom.  Quad-band GSM,  FM radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.


Samsung Acclaim Regional Carrier U.S. Cellular will be getting this Android 2.1 slider.


Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, comes with slick UI and new “UX Platform,” powered by Snapdragon. SE is forgoing the Android praise and just sticking with making phones. This thing is big and beautiful. Sony Ericsson is doing Android very, very well.


Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Announced at Mobile World Congress 2010 (2/14/10) Sony Ericsson has expanded X10 into a family of Android devices.


Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro This is the same as the Xperia X10 Mini, but has a QWERTY keyboard. The Mini is the smallest Android phone available, and it is engineered beautifully. I really want one!

Sony Ericsson Xperia X8- With a 3″ screen, the X8 falls between the X10 and X10 Mini line. Announced without its Android Version set in stone. It could run 1.6 or 2.1.


Garmin-Asus Garminfone Seriously GPS-focused device with Garmin services: gas prices, real time traffic, flight status, Panoramio geotagging, Ciao! loc-based social network, and more. Another unusual Android device on T-Mobile.


Kyocera Zio M6000 Kyocera’s taking up the Android mantle and trying to bring the U.S. a super cheap device. They told me that the bill of materials is only $160, so it could even be free when it’s released. 3.5″ TFT LCD screen, 3 Megapixel cam, and CDMA radios


GeeksPhoneONE QWERTY slider available in EU (Spain) in December “extremadamente ágil y eficiente!”

SaygusV1 Their V1 has 2-way video calling and is a huge, heavy monster of a phone.

UNCONFIRMED:

Motorola Heron or IronMan This Windows Mobile phone was pulled from AT&T, listed as “specifications subject to change due to move to Android.” Whereabouts unknown.

Motorola Zeppelin Spotted in China in a regulatory filing, with not much known besides 5Mpx camera, and HDMI output

INQ committed to an Android device, but we haven’t seen anything yet.
